About Maui & Sons Food and Beverage
In 1980, Maui & Sons was started by 3 surfers from Hawaii. Their first offering was, believe it or not, a chocolate chip cookie, in which the original logo was based on. Eventually, Maui & Sons turned into the clothing brand, which is now a global leader in surfing apparel. In 2009, James Harrington started Maui & Sons Food and Beverage with his brother, Richard Harrington, the chairman of Maui & Sons Clothing.
Maui & Sons Food and Beverage now focuses on healthy and natural products like coconut water, coconut chips, and coconut oil, and reflects the growing consumer demand for wellness-oriented snack and beverage options.
The decision to expand the product line to include dried mangoes, with a variety of options, and other items aligns well with the health-conscious trends in the market. Additionally, the commitment to sourcing the best ingredients globally and manufacturing a variety of products under the Maui Tropics umbrella indicates a strategic approach to offering a diverse range of options to consumers.
The inclusion of other brands under Maui Tropics, such as Villa Rozza and Koh Lanta, shows a commitment to providing a wide array of products, from oils to sriracha, catering to different consumer preferences. Moreover, the ability to manufacture private label products for other retail stores adds another dimension to Maui Tropics' business model, showcasing adaptability and flexibility.
